Thanks To The Sites That Bring You All Here

Darin Volpe, Editor - Last month I thanked our visitors. This month I'd like to thank the many sites that help bring those visitors to Trolleyville, particularly the ones with something nice to say about us.

…Trolleyville is an entertaining complete little town for model tram enthusiasts… - UK Model Trams

Trolleyville is a very slick web site for traction modelers in any scale. Lots of interesting web tricks and great use of the cyberspace. Lots of interesting trolley, interurban, traction, information. GREAT SITE! - Just Trains Model Railroad Superstore

Take a trip to Trolleyville - This is one heck of a site for trolley modelers and fans of the prototype - Andy's Pacific Electric, BNSF, SDERy, and LARy Page

Since we don't maintain a mile-long list of links (there are plenty of those pages around already)we don't often have the opportunity to link back to those who link to us unless they have something of significant interest to our visitors. If you feel that your web site should be listed here at Trolleyville, email webmaster@trolleyville.com.

New Forum Allows Visitors to Interact With One Another

Darin Volpe, Editor - Earlier this month, the new bulletin board was put up in the big tree growing in Trolleyville's park. The first of many additions expected here at Trolleyville, the bulletin board is expected to be a popular place for visitors to exchange ideas. Everyone is invited to climb up into the clubhouse and take advantage of the new forum, tentatively titled "Scribbles on the Clubhouse Wall." With sections such as "Scenery", "Trackwork", and "Structures" among others, the Clubhouse is ready to become the center of activity for the visitors to Trolleyville. Membership is not required to read or post on most of the bulletin board, so anyone can ask questions or share information with their fellow travelers through our town. However, for those of you who want to be able to edit or delete your messages, membership is free. You can even enter a fictitious email address if you want, although we don't recommend this since we've not yet ruled out offering special deals to our members.

In addition to the open discussion forums, there is also a For Sale section where members of Trolleyville's clubhouse can post items that they are selling or wanting to buy. Anyone can join the club. All that we ask is that only private individuals or current tenants of Trolleyville use the BBS to sell. If you're in the business of selling and don't have a store in Trolleyville, visit our real estate office and ask about renting a space. Membership is only required for sellers - anyone can read messages, and all buying is done via email directly with the seller. If you are a seller and don't want to give out your email address, you can use one of the various web-based email services such as Hotmail.

"Scribbles on the Clubhouse Wall" is one of the few, if not the only, BBS on the Internet exclusively for trolley and traction enthusiasts. So you don't have to wade through hundreds of model railroading posts that have nothing to do with electric railways to find the information you're looking for. And you know that if you post a question, it will only be read by people who share your interest in traction.

So take a walk to the park and climb into the clubhouse at the top of the big tree. We'll leave a box of crayons out for you.
