Trolley Talk's History
TROLLEY TALK began as an adjunct to Richard Wagner's Wagner Car Co., a manufacturer of high-quality streetcar models and parts. His wife, Birdella, began publication to help promote the business but it soon became the medium of serious trolley fans. She published the magazine to be a forum for all the fans and their many facets of the hobby. Some were builders, some photographers, some historians, but all found in TROLLEY TALK a place to express themselves and swap information and ideas. This remains the goal of TROLLEY TALK today. After forty years of publication, Birdella handed the reins to Drew Sack, who published Trolley Talk until July 2005, when the magazine was brought "home" to Cincinnati under the editorship of Peter Weiglin.
