Atlantic City and Shore Railroad 1906 John Stephenson interurban cars - $14.95 [CN-112]

This HO scale decal finishing set is designed for the INTERURBAN RAILWAYS (Volkmar Meier) 3D printed HO scale models of the AC&S 100 series double-ended wood interurban cars that operated in the Atlantic City-Pleasantville-Ocean City, New Jersey area until 1955. The set contain cream triangles for the front and sides designed to be placed over previously painted orange sides and ends, back numbers for the sides and ends, two different treatments of the ATLANTIC CITY - OCEAN CITY logos on the sides of the cars and different letterboard treatments. Destination signs are also included along with the original round heralds used on the cars.

 
Baltimore Peter Witt Cars - $8.95 [CN-6119]

This HO scale decal finishing set is designed for the Bachmann #84601 undecorated Peter Witt streetcars released in late 2007. The set contains numbers, markings, red belt rail striping in two different widths, over 15 route number signs, over 80 different front and side destination signs along with black backgrounds. BTC logos are also provided. The set permits finishing in the original scheme with the wide belt rail, the interim scheme with the narrower belt rail, the all-yellow final scheme (shown below right) and even the NCL "Fruit Salad" scheme used on some of the cars. The photo below shows three factory painted Bachmann #84604 cars (6112, 6118 & 6119) with the destination and route numbers signs from this set applied. At the extreme right is one #84601 undecorated model custom painted in the final paint scheme for these cars (6116) also with the destination and route numbers signs from this set.

 

Baltimore Semi-Convertible Cars - $9.95 [CN-5001]

This HO scale decal finishing set is designed for undecorated 3D printed shell of the Baltimore Semi-Convertible streetcars built between 1910 and 1917 (series 5380-5744 and those stretched in 1917-1919 (series 5745-5884) made available during 2019. The set contains numbers, markings, red belt rail striping, route number signs, different front destination signs along with black backgrounds, and some dash signs.

Bay Area (Northern California) Birney Cars [Large Scale] - $19.95 [GN-143]

This premier decal set is designed for application on the large scale Hartland Locomotive Works Single Truck Birney Safety Car but can be used on other large scale cars. The set provides finishing details for the yellow and maroon paint schemes used by the Fresno Traction Company (FTCo), San Jose Railroads (SJRR) and the Stockton Electric Railway Co. (SERR). The set contains maroon lettering and numbers, maroon striping for both the sides and ends with two different corner treatments, black accent striping for the front posts and dashers. Also included are the Birney Safety Car, FTCo, SJRR and SERR heralds along with destination signs for all three cities. Black destination sign backgrounds are also provided.

Birney Safety Cars, Double Truck (6 cities) - $9.95 [CN-408]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for the Ken Kidder double truck Birney Safety cars available in both brass and plastic. Cities included are Richmond, Virginia (VEPCO); Boston, Massachusetts (Boston Elevated Ry. & Eastern Massachusetts Street Ry.); Sacramento, California (Sacramento City Lines & PG&E); Phoenix, AZ (City of Phoenix St Ry.); Houston (Houston Electric) and El Paso, (El Paso City Lines) Texas. Heralds, lettering, striping and numbers for all six cities are provided.

Boston (BERy, MTA and MBTA) Single End PCC Cars - $29.95 [CN-3172]

This HO scale finishing set was designed specifically for the TS15 Custom Traxx / Miniatures by Eric (CT/MBE) models of the 1945-46 Pullman-Standard PCC cars (series 3172-3196; 3222-3271) which has been discontinued, but can be used to finish any Boston Single End PCC car. The set not only contains heralds for Boston Elevated Railway, the "Map" herald, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (oval herald) and Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ("Circle T") but also the necessary black numbers for the orange cars and the white numbers for the green cars along with the front and side destination signs for routes which operated PCC cars. Accordingly, black backgrounds for the front rectangular destination sign and for the side destination signs are included. This set contains both black accent and maroon belt rail striping. To the right is a pre-production TS15 model with Bowser drive lettered with this decal set.

Boston ex-Dallas Double-end PCC Cars - $10.95 [CN-3322]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the Boston ex-Dallas PCC car shells of the 1945 Pullman-Standard double end PCC cars, made by Eric Courtney for Custom Traxx (See Kit TS16, Section V). It contains heralds for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (oval herald) and Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ("Circle T"). The set also has maroon belt rail striping and black striping for the letter boards. Also provided are the necessary black numbers for the orange cars and the white numbers for the green cars along with the front and side destination signs for routes which operated PCC cars. Accordingly, black backgrounds sized to fit the rectangular destination sign opening on Pullman-built PCC cars are included along with side destination sign backgrounds. Also provided are resilient wheel decals. These 25 cars ran in Dallas until 1956 and were acquired by Boston in 1958 and 1959.

Boston KinkiSharyo Type 7 and AnsaldoBreda Type 8 LRVs - $9.95 [CN-3738] - NEW!!!

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the Boston Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (BMTA) Type 7 and Type 8 Light Rail Vehicle kits made by Tramspotter using the 3D printing process. With some modifications the set can be used to finish Rivarossi/IHC/AHM/Mehano models of the Boeing Light Rail Vehicles that preceded the type 7s and 8s. The set contains both the black and white numbers along with destination signs for routes B, C, D and E. Accordingly, black backgrounds sized to fit the different sized destination sign openings on the Type 7s and 8s are included along with both cloth roller and digital destination signs.

Brooklyn 8000 series Peter Witt cars and 1000-series PCC cars - $6.99 [CN-8111]

This HO scale finishing set contains, heralds and destination signs designed for Fairfield models of 8000-8534 series double end Peter Witt cars and several models of the PCC cars, including MTS Imports, Inc and WP Car. Set contains gold numbers for the red Peter Witt cars and tan PCC cars along with silver numbers for all green cars. NYCTA heralds are also provided along with several destination signs. In the photo to the right are five different Fairfield models of the Peter Witt cars in some of the various paints schemes that they wore while in Brooklyn service.

Chicago, Aurora and Elgin Passenger Interurban Cars - $9.95 [CN-300]

This HO scale lettering set is designed for models of Chicago, Aurora and Elgin interurban cars. Letterboard lettering and numbers in gold are provided in four different versions, including the different style lettering and numbers initially used on the 451 class cars and the early AURORA - ELGIN - CHICAGO lettering. Sunset Lines heralds in three different colors are also provided. Examples of these cars are preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois.

Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee "Electroliner"- $19.95 [CN-801]

This premier HO scale finishing set is designed for models of the Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee two four-unit articulated interurban trains that ran from 1941 to 1963. One set has been lovingly restored at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. Letterboard lettering and numbers in silver outlined in black are provided along with all salmon striping for the upper sides, lower sides, upper ends. and striping specifically designed for the sloped and curved ends. North Shore emblems by Bronze Key models are also included. This set is designed for modelers experienced in decal application.

Chicago, (Chicago Surface Lines) conventional streetcars - $16.95 [CN-169]

This HO scale finishing set includes CSL heralds, numerals and striping in both silver and cream. The IN, OUT, ENTER FRONT, ENTER REAR, and the DO NOT GET ON AND OFF MOVING CAR markings will also be included in both silver and cream along with the 4" white stripe for the dasher on front entrance cars. Because of the extremely large number and various sizes of CSL destination signs, this set contains the front and side signs suitable for those CSL streetcars that had the large route and destination signs in the left front window. These cars included Pullman 204; '169' cars 1721-1785, 3119-3178 and 6155-6198; cars 3000-3091, 5900-6999 and 6000-6137, Sun Parlors 3179-3201, MU cars 3202-3321, 6199-6238 and 6240-6279; the Nearside Cars 5703-5827, and some others. Destination signs are white lettering printed on a clear background. Black background decal material is also provided. Chicago (CTA) Bicentennial 1-50 series Elevated Cars (Premier Set) - $19.95 [CN-025]

This premier HO scale finishing set includes all required lettering, striping and heralds for the CTA 1-50 series cars painted in the Bicentennial color schemes in the mid 1970s. Our records indicate that cars 25, 26, 27 and 40 were painted in this paint scheme. Black door and white standee window numbers are provided for the entire class of cars along with the red, white and blue striping. Also contained are two three styles of the Bicentennial heralds and, separately, the individual names applied to the cars. Destination signs and some colored backgrounds are supplied also. This is a very large set, which results in a very striking vehicle.

Chicago Pre-War PCC Cars - $9.95 [CN-7002]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the Car Works Chicago Pre-War PCC cars and contains appropriate CSL heralds, lettering, cream and blue numbers, belt rail striping and destination signs for PCC Cars in the 4002-4051 and 7002-7034 series. Both versions of the ‘Hourglass’ dasher used on the original 1936 and the 1945 "Tiger Stripe" paint schemes are provided along with the Tiger Stripes themselves. Destination signs are white lettering on clear background; so separate black backgrounds sized to fit the normal 48" by 9" front destination sign opening and the prototype side window destination signs are also provided.

Cincinnati Car Co 1918 Lightweight Interurbans - [CN-915/CN-068]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for models of the 1918 Lightweight Interurbans built for the Cincinnati, Lawrenceburg & Aurora Electric Street Railroad Company (CL&A) as imported by Fairfield Traction Models in 1966. These cars were noteworthy as they had 24" wheels, which were very small for the time.

The seven cars ran on the CL&A from 1918 until 1930 when the line ceased running. This decal set finishes the cars in the as delivered scheme with striping as shown above and the later simpler scheme with white lettering and numbers and all striping eliminated. One car has been preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum.

In 1934, the cars went to the Sand Springs Railway, where they ran until 1948. This decal set finishes these cars in the paint scheme shown and contains black lettering for Car 68 when it was painted yellow and used as the "owl" car. Car 68 was the one preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum.

Cincinnati & Lake Erie "Red Devils" $12.95 [CN-115]

 

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the "Red Devil" 3D printed models produced by Interurban Models (Volkmar Meier) in 2020. They will also work for previous brass models of the cars imported by Hallmark and Model Tramway. These 20 cars, series 110-129, were built by the Cincinnati Car Company and delivered to the C&LE Railroad in 1930. They ran until the railroad went bankrupt in 1939, Six of the cars went to the Cedar Rapids & Iowa City RR (CRANDIC) and thirteen went to the Lehigh Valley. The remaining car was lost in a fire in 1934. Decal set includes numbers, heralds, letterboard lettering and destination signs.

Warning: The striping in this set is very thin and should only be applied by those who have experience in the application of decals.

Conestoga Traction Company (Lancaster, PA) - $3.95 [CN-066] 

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the Fairfield Traction Models Nine-Window Double-End Curveside Model. Black numbers, destination signs and heralds are included not only for the five Curvesiders but also for the Single Truck Birney Safety Cars used until the end of service in 1947.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Brookville "Liberty" Streetcars - $19.95 [CN-303]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for 3D printed models of the Brookville Liberty contemporary streetcars produced by Volkmar Meier of Interurban Models. These cars were placed into service in 2015 and were the first cars in the United States that were capable of operating on battery power while in service. Battery power allows the streetcars to cross the Houston Street viaduct which does not have catenary installed.

Construction of the line started in 2013. The first car, 302 was delivered in March 2015 and was the only car until 301 was delivered in May 2015. Cars 303 and 304 were delivered in the summer of 2016.

The decal set contains yellow and blue striping, destination signs for the ends and sides, handicapped symbols, vehicle numbers and Dallas streetcar logos for the sides and ends.

 

Illinois Traction System "Green" Cars - $7.95 [CN-260]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for models of Illinois Traction System Interurban cars during the period they were finished in the dark green paint scheme. This set contains bronze gold letterboard lettering, individual car names such as LINCOLN, CERRO GORDO, URBANA, and different styles of ITS and ITC heralds. Decal set CT-990 contains some of the striping effects needed for some of these cars. These decals were made with the permission, support and contribution of George Barsky. Illinois Traction System "Orange" Cars - $16.95 [CN-260A]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for models of Illinois Traction System Interurban cars during the period they were finished in the orange paint scheme. This set contains black letterboard lettering, individual car names such as LINCOLN, CERRO GORDO, URBANA, and four different styles of ITS and ITC heralds. These decals were made with the permission, support and contribution of George Barsky. A February 2020 very limited run by Highball Graphics will be available to our customers on March 3, 2020.

Illinois Traction System Class B & C locomotives - $15.95 [CN-1570]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for models imported by Suydam and GHB and contains the bronze gold lettering for ITS Class B & C locomotives in the 1911-1928 dark green livery. Illinois Traction System lettering and numbers are provided for both classes of locomotives including the vertical numbers on the ends of the articulated Class C locos. The multi-color INTERURBAN EXPRESS herald, the oval ITS herald and the winged ITS herald are also supplied. This set is currently out of stock.

Kansas City PCC Cars - $15.95 [CN-750]

This premier HO scale decal finishing set has been designed for models of Kansas City PCC cars. This set was designed specifically for models of the all-electric 501-585 and 725-799 all-electric cars that are produced by Custom Traxx. The set also allows finishing of models of the 701-724 series air-electric cars. The set will finish cars in either the initial or final paint schemes and contains the lettering, numerals and striping and heralds used on these cars. The set contains both front and side destination signs, which were taken from photographs of an actual front and roll sign from an all-electric Kansas City PCC car. The set along with destination signs from our set CN-1040 will also finish models of San Francisco PCC 1056 (ex Philadelphia 2113). Models finished completely or partially with this decal set are shown in the center photo below:

Key System "Bridge Units" - $7.95 [CN-175]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for Ken Kidder and Erie Limited models of the Key System "Bridge Units" and includes numerals and heralds for both the original orange and silver and the later "fruit salad" paint schemes. Four National City Lines Key System heralds along with the original letter board lettering "KEY SYSTEM" are also included. Route and destination signs are included along with the front window signs specifying which doors on the train were in use.

Lehigh Valley Transit (LVT) 700 & 1000 series cars - $14.95 [CN-1030]

This HO scale decal finishing set was designed specifically for body shells of the LVT 700 series cars and the LVT1030 produced by KND Enterprises. The set also allows modelers to finish models of the LVT 1000-1023 class cars imported by The Car Works. The set contains Mountain Ash Scarlet and Black belt rail striping, red striping for the lower side and above the side windows, red numbers, red letter board lettering, "Watch Swing Of Car" rectangular signs, Liberty Bell Heralds, round and rectangular drum head signs along with and destination signs and backgrounds.

LVT Freight Motors C5-C7 (Low C) and C14-C19 (High C) - $8.95 [CN-014]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for models of Lehigh Valley Transit express cars produced by KND Enterprises. The set includes the TROLLEY FREIGHT markings for the ends of the cars, the ALLENTOWN BETHLEHEM EASTON PHILADELPHIA and the LVT TROLLEY FREIGHT markings for the sides. Lettering and numbers are also included.

Los Angeles Railway Conventional Cars - $5.95 [CN-1201]

This HO scale finishing set contains all the major lettering to finish any conventional car (Classes A through M) of the Los Angeles Railway era through 1944. Lettering specifically designed to fit the Class C "Sowbellies" is also included. For that final touch, some Los Angeles Railway dash signs are already available in Custom Traxx Set CT-999P. Roof top route signs numbers and letters are available in set CT-998. At right is a Soho Class B streetcar painted by Toshisuke Matsumoto and lettered with these decals.

 

Los Angeles Ry & Philadelphia Rapid Transit Birneys [Large Scale] - $8.95 [GN-005]

This large scale (1:24) finishing set is intended for application on the Hartland Locomotive Works Single Truck Birney Safety Car, but the set can be used on other large scale cars. This set finishes Birney cars in the Los Angeles Railway (LARy) yellow / brown or yellow / silver paint schemes and the Philadelphia Rapid Transit (PRT) orange paint scheme. The set contains appropriate black numbers, black LARy and PRT heralds along with City of Philadelphia lettering. Destination signs for PRT Birney cars are included along with two black backgrounds. Destination signs were not used on the LARy cars for most of their lives. By 1932, the destination sign box in most LARy Birneys was either painted over or covered with plating.

Los Angeles (LARy, LATL & LAMTA) PCC Cars - $9.95 [CN-3100]

This HO scale finishing set provides both the LAMTA and LATL heralds plus the 5 1/4 inch black numerals. The Welcome Aboard sign, Enter Front, Exit and L. A. METROPOLITAN TRANSIT AUTHORITY is supplied along with destination signs normally found on the car. Over 40 different destinations encompassing routes 3, P, R, S, J & V are provided in white lettering or clear backgrounds. Accordingly, both black and red backgrounds sized to fit the Bowser PCC destination sign opening are included. This set was upgraded in July 2004 to add side destination signs for both the air-electric (3001-3125) and all-electric (3126-3165) PCC cars.

Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LAMTA) PCC 3002 "Crying Trolley"
HO scale - $5.95 [CN-3002], N scale - $4.95 [NN-3002]

This decal set is for finishing either HO or N scale models of LAMTA PCC 3002 which was decorated at the "Crying Trolley" in early 1963 before streetcar service was abandoned in Los Angeles on March 31, 1963. The set can be used on the older Q-car shells, Con-Cor PCC shells, Shapeways 3D printed shells or any shells / models of the 1933-1938 Pre-War Saint Louis Car-built PCC car. These decals were printed for Custom Traxx by Microscale Industries, Inc. and contains all necessary graphics for this car.

Los Angeles County Transit Commission "Blue Line" P865/P2020 Vehicles - $13.95 [CN-105]

This decal set is for HO scale models of the 1989-1995 Blue Line NipponSharyo P865/P2020 vehicles initially operated by the LACTC and Southern California Rapid Transit District prior to the creation of the Los Angeles Metro. The multi-striped cars ran in that scheme for almost seven years until they were all repainted by the Los Angeles Metro into the scheme shown in decal set CN-126. Metro started replacing these cars with the scrapping of car 105 in July 2017. All of the 1989-1990-built P865s are now off the roster, except for car 100 which is to be preserved in Long Beach. These decals were designed for the West Coast Traction Supply 3D printed models by Shapeways and contains all necessary graphics for this car. This decal set was printed for Custom Traxx by Highball Graphics.

 

Los Angeles Metro P865/P2000/P2020 Vehicles - $11.95 [CN-126]

This decal set is for HO scale models of the Los Angeles Metro NipponSharyo P865 and P2020 cars as they started to be repainted in the mid-1990s and the Siemens P2000 cars as they were initially delivered during the same period. This scheme is still used on these cars except that the exterior has been changed from white to two tones of gray. The P865 cars would see service on the Phase 1 Expo Line starting in 2012 and would serve the Phase 2 Expo line beginning in 2016 in both the initial white and later gray versions of the new adopted LA Metro paint scheme. These decals were designed for the West Coast Traction Supply 3D printed models by Shapeways and contains all necessary graphics for this car. This decal set was printed for Custom Traxx by Highball Graphics.

 

Los Angeles P865/P2000/P2020 Vehicles - $19.95 [CN-144]

This decal set is for HO scale models of both the LACTC and Los Angeles Metro NipponSharyo P865 and P2020 cars as they were painted from 1990 to the present. This decal set contains all items present in both the CN-105 and CN-126 decal sets. These decals were designed for the West Coast Traction Supply 3D printed models by Shapeways and contains all necessary graphics for this car. This decal set was printed for Custom Traxx by Highball Graphics. We are painting sample models and will show them here when they are completed.

 

Los Angeles Metro P3010 Light Rail Vehicles - $16.95 [CN-3010]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the 3D printed models of the KinkiSharyo vehicles that are being introduced to all Los Angeles Light Rail Lines beginning in 2015. These models now available through Shapeways from West Coast Traction Supply. These P3010 cars are now running on the LA Metro Blue, Expo, Green and Gold lines, which have been re-designated A, E, C and L. Updated destination signs are available in decal set CT-3010! These decals were printed for Custom Traxx by Highball Graphics and contains all necessary graphics for this car.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Conventional and PCC cars - $9.95 [CN-1300]

This HO scale finishing set includes the Twin City Lines herald plus the five inch brown numerals. The ENTER HERE and ENTRANCE sign are also included. Three copies of an exhaustive set of destination signs for conventional cars are also provided. Destination signs are printed on clear background, so as appropriate, black or white backgrounds are provided separately. Destination signs for PCC cars along with black backgrounds sized to fit the Bowser PCC Car destination sign opening are included.

Montreal & Southern Counties Interurban Cars - $1.95 [CN-620]

This HO scale finishing set contains dulux gold letter board lettering, numerals and destination signs designed primarily for the five motor cars built by Ottawa Car Co in 1930 and acquired by the M&SC in 1939 from the Windsor, Essex & Lake Shore. Four of the cars went on to the Niagara, St. Catherines & Toronto Railway, a Canadian National Railway subsidiary until 1959. Car 621 resides at the Seashore Electric Railway Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine. Although this decal set is primarily designed for these five M&SC cars, the set contains numbers and destination signs that can be used for other M&SC cars.

New Orleans Riverfront (ex NOPSI 900 series) Cars - $9.95 [CN-451]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for the ex NOPSI 900 class cars initially used on New Orleans Riverfront Car Line when opened in 1988. See photo on next page. These decals have been designed to fit both the Model Tramway New Orleans 800 series cars and the MTS New Orleans 900 series models. The set contains the distinctive RIVERFRONT dasher markings and striping, numbers for the sides and ends and RTA heralds. To the right is a Fairfield Models New Orleans car lettered with these decals.

New Orleans St. Charles & Riverfront (ex NOPSI 900 series) Cars - $9.95 [ON-451]

This O scale finishing set is designed for the models imported by MTS Imports, Inc of the former NOPSI 900 class cars as initially used on the New Orleans Riverfront Car Line when opened in 1988. See photo of HO scale car above. The set contains the same items as the HO scale set, CN-451, described above. In addition, this set contains white and black numbers for the sides and the upper sash front side window 800-972 series cars, as operated in the Crescent City prior to the 1960 re-buildings. Suitable destination signs, including St. Charles, Canal, Desire, Napoleon and Tchoupitoulas, are also included.

New Orleans St Charles (900 series) Cars - $8.95 [CN-952]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for both Fairfield and MTS Imports, Inc. models of New Orleans 800/900 series cars imported over the past years. The set will contain the silver lettering, striping and heralds currently used on cars after the modifications of the early 1990s and the white numbers used from the 1960's modifications until the 1990's modifications and white dasher striping used prior to the 1960's modifications. Also contained in the set to ease painting are white decal strips for the side and end window posts. This set enables finishing of former New Orleans car 952, which is in San Francisco in service on the 'F' line.

This premier HO scale finishing set was requested by many professional model painters and includes all required numbers, lettering, striping and heralds New York City Third Avenue Railway System (TARS) streetcars. Pacific Electric Ry. Birney Safety Cars [Large Scale] - $8.95 [GN-332]

This large scale (1:24) finishing set is intended for application on the Hartland Locomotive Works Single Truck Birney Safety Car but can be used on other large scale cars. The set provides bronze gold numbers and lettering along with destination signs for the Electric Lines Red car. Pacific Electric had three orders of Birneys, all built in 1920-1921. Only the last series, 365-388, had the "Ubangi-Lip" anti-climber normally found on city cars controlled by Southern Pacific.

Pacific Electric Ry. 34' Wood Box Car - $1.95 [CN-2111]

The set contains lettering for PERy wood box cars in the 2000 and 2100 series. Also contained in the set are numbers for other PERy freight cars and lettering in the font used by the Model Die Casting cars. This set was formerly contained in the CN-3462 set but has been designated a separate set as of September 2006.

Pacific Electric Ry. and its Predecessors - $19.95 [CN-257]

This premier HO scale finishing set was specifically designed finishing Suydam models of PERy 257, open-end PERy 800 models and contains most of the finishing effects, striping and filigrees, needed for any early PERy (1900-1920) car. Included in this set are the special single and dual striping, corner treatments and filigrees used until the mid-1920s along with letter board lettering for some of the railways (Los Angeles Pacific, Los Angeles & Redondo, Los Angeles Inter-Urban Railway) absorbed by PERy just after the turn of the century. Numerals in three different styles are provided. All numbers and letters are provided in bronze gold simulating the gold leaf used in that era. Completing the set are some of the hand painted destination signs found on the roofs of cars of the time, including both the curved destination signs on the roof ends and the rectangular signs mounted on the center of the sides of the roof.

 

Pacific Electric Ry. Steel Cars [Pre-1940] - $3.95 [CN-1200]

This HO scale finishing set is intended for Suydam models and includes extended six-inch letterboard lettering for steel 1200 class interurbans, 1370-1375 class combines, certain Portland Box Motors and Portland RPOs as originally delivered. Also included are the three-inch lettering for the sides beneath the windows along with appropriate numbers. All data is provided in both bronze gold (used before spray painting was introduced) and dulux gold (after spray painting was adopted). Destination signs are separately available in set CT-1044.

Pacific Electric Ry. Three-Tank Water Car - $12.95 [CN-3462]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the Metro Models imports of PERy car 3462 and contains all the required lettering for the Pacific Electric (PERy) three tank Arrowhead Water Car on PERy flat car #3462. The 36' wood box car decals formerly included in this set are now available in set CN-2111.

Philadelphia (PRT/PTC) PCC Cars (1938 to 1968) - $15.95 [CN-2001]

This HO scale finishing set contains blue numbers for the 1938 and 1940 PCC cars as delivered along with the cream numbers used on the same cars. Also contained are the cream, four-inch, outlined in black numbers used on all green cars from 1944 to 1968. PRT and PTC winged heralds are also supplied along with white destination signs on a clear background for all routes that operated PCC cars in this city for any length of time. Both front and side destination signs from Routes 3 (Columbia Avenue) to 70 (52nd Street) are included along with black backgrounds sized to fit the Bowser PCC destination sign opening. Also provided are the short turn slashes or "cut bars", and the "MOVE TO REAR ..." and "MOTORIST CAUTION..." signs. To the right are two resin-shelled models finished with this decal set. The top model is an ex-Kansas City PCC sold to Philadelphia in 1954 and mainly used on Route 50, Rising Sun Avenue. The bottom photo is a model of a 1940 PCC initially used on Routes 13 & 42 (Chestnut & Walnut Streets).

Philadelphia Transportation Co. "Safety" PCC Car 2128 - $7.95 [CN-2128]

This HO scale finishing set is intended for finishing models of 1948 PTC All-electric PCC 2128 as it appeared in several all-white safety schemes from the mid 1950s until the early 1970s. The set will be made to fit the Bowser PCC Streamlined Trolley and contains graphics for the MOTORISTS USE YOUR SIGNALS (shown right), FIGURE THE LOSS BEFORE YOU CROSS and the CURB THAT URGE TO JAYWALK variants. No destination signs, company heralds or vehicle numbers are provided with this set. They can be obtained in set CN-2001 above.

Philadelphia (PRT/PTC) 1923 Double End Brill streetcars - $9.95 [CN-5200]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the 5200-5334 class of 1923 Brill double end streetcars operated in Philadelphia until 1957 and imported by MTS Imports, Inc. It contains PRT heralds in black; interim PTC heralds in black and PTC winged heralds in cream, PTC four-inch cream numbers edged in black and PRT black six-inch numbers. Also contained in the set are correctly sized front and side window route number and destination signs for the lines where these cars regularly ran for any length of time, including training Route 0. To the right is an MTS model of the PTC/PRT 5200 series lettered with this decal set.


Philadelphia 1923-26 Single End Brill streetcars - $9.95 [CN-8000]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for ‘Peter Witt’ cars of the 8000-8534 class operated in Philadelphia from 1923 to 1957 and imported by MTS Imports, Inc. It contains PRT heralds in gold and cream; interim PTC heralds (1940) in cream, and the PTC cream/red/black "winged" heralds. Set also contains PRT six-inch numbers in both gold and cream and the PTC four-inch cream numbers edged in black. Also contained in the set are all route and destination signs for the routes where these cars regularly ran for any length of time, including weekends and Sunday only service. Additional items supplied are the red cut bars and the "Please Move To The Rear And Speed Your Ride" signs. Portions of this decal set can be used for finishing models of the Philadelphia Nearsides.

Philadelphia & West Chester Traction Co (P&WCTCo) & Philadelphia Suburban Trans'n Co. 1914 Jewett Steel Interurbans (40-44) and 1919/1925/1926 Brill Center Door cars - $17.95 [CN-044]

This HO scale decal finishing set has been designed for resin-bodied kit models of the P&WCT 40-44 Steel Interurban Cars (KND Enterprises) and the 45-76 series Center Door Cars (Miniatures by Eric). The set will also finish MTS models of the 55-76 series Center Door Cars. Although the 40-44 series cars were not used after 1949, some of the 45-76 series cars were later used by the successors Philadelphia Suburban Transportation Company and SEPTA until the 1980s.

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the 1700 class of Pittsburgh PCC cars as imported by MTS Imports, Inc. Sacramento Northern Birney Cars [Large Scale] - $13.95 [GN-62]

This large scale (1:24) finishing set is intended for application on the Hartland Locomotive Works Single Truck Birney Safety Car. This set can be used on other large scale Sacramento Northern vehicles. This set is for finishing cars in the Sacramento Northern Railroad original dark green paint scheme. The set contains bronze gold lettering, bronze gold numbers (60 through 68), bronze gold striping for both the sides and ends, black accent striping for the ends, white destination signs, and black destination sign backgrounds. The Hartland car shown in the right photo has been custom painted and lettered with these decals. It has relocated destination signs, fabricated trolley base tower and trolley pole hooks, with Light Rail Products US-13 trolley poles.

Sacramento Northern interurban passenger cars - $10.95 [CN-1005D]

This HO scale finishing includes letterboard lettering for the Sacramento Northern and its predecessors Northern Electric Railway; Oakland & Antioch; Oakland, Antioch & Eastern; and San Francisco-Sacramento Railroad along with six sets of numerals for the cars. the decal set letters both North End and South End cars. Also included is letterboard lettering for Oregon Electric Railway and other West Coast interurban carriers along with heralds for the OA&E and Railway Express Agency. Sacramento Northern steeple cabs and other locos - $9.95 [CN-653]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the MTS Imports, Inc and Model Engineering Works (MEW) models of the 650 series steeple cab locomotives. This set includes both white and silver lettering for the sides, numbers for the sides and ends, the numbers for the headlights and train order boards and the orange stripes for the cab sides and hood ends. Additional markings are available in red, orange, white and silver. Measurements used in the creation of these decals were taken from Sacramento Northern #653 at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA. The model shown to the right is an MEW model painted by Bruce Battles and lettered with this decal set.
San Diego 400-449 class cars - $8.95 [CN-449]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for Pacific Traction HO scale models of the San Diego Electric Railway 400-449 class suburban cars in the original chrome yellow paint scheme and the final green and cream scheme that the cars wore until abandonment in 1948. This set contains destination signs, Pullman green numbers and heralds for the original mustard yellow paint scheme, and both the silver and black numbers for the final paint scheme. Cream backgrounds are provided for the sides and ends. Destination signs, four side advertising logos and cream backgrounds for the cars in the later paint schemes are also provided.

The photo above contains finished models of three San Diego 400 series cars with a PCC car in the background. The orange car, car 408, was one of a few cars painted in an experimental scheme which was not adopted.
CN-449 is NOT intended for finishing models of PCC cars.

San Diego S70 Light Rail Vehicles - HO scale - $5.95 [CN-2052], N scale - $4.95 [NN-2052]

Due to the 3D printed HO scale models of the San Diego Siemens S70 (4001-4065 class) partial low floor vehicles now available on Shapeways and the possibility of N scale models of the same San Diego Siemens S70 vehicles being available in the near future, Custom Traxx has made HO and N scale decal sets available. The set contains all markings, numbers and destination signs. They are intended for the 4001 series cars but this set can be used for existing models of the 1001 series U2 vehicles retired in January 2015 and the 2001 series vehicles still in service. Shown at right is the first 3D printed test vehicle model with two Halling drives and lettered with this decal set.

San Francisco Breda Light Rail Vehicles - $9.95 [CN-1499]

This HO scale finishing set is designed for correctly refinishing HO scale model kits of the San Francisco Municipal Railway Breda Light Rail Vehicle (HTK5) soon to be available from Miniatures by Eric. This set will finish these cars in the scheme as originally delivered and as they are currently in service. The set contains over 250 front and side destination signs taken from an actual roll signs. Also contained are red MUNI "Worm" heralds in two sizes and black numbers in two sizes. San Francisco Municipal Railway "Iron Monsters" - $9.95 [CN-168]; $8.95 [CN-171]; $9.95 [CN-178]

These HO scale finishing sets are designed for HO scale kit models of the San Francisco Municipal Railway (SFMRy) Class K (Cars #169-188) and Class L (Cars #189-213) released by Transit Classics of Sunbury, Australia in early 2007. CN-168 contains bronze gold lettering and heralds for the initial gray & dark red paint scheme (1923-1940). CN-171 contains yellow numbers, markings and heralds for the yellow & blue scheme (1940s) as represented by car 171 now at the Orange Empire Railway Museum. CN-178 contains heralds, numbers, markings and "wings" for the final green & cream scheme (late 1940s to 1960). This set contains round black MUNI heralds in four different sizes. All three sets contain decal destination signs for the ends and sides, decal route letters for roof signs along with 25 printed dash signs. The Transit Classics cars shown were painted by Bruce Battles (top-right) and Custom Traxx (bottom-right) and lettered with the CN-168 and CN-178 decal sets, respectively.

San Francisco Municipal Railway "Milano" Peter Witt Cars - $8.95 [CN-1807]

This HO scale finishing set is intended to finish shells of the ex-Milan Peter Witt cars produced by Miniatures by Eric. The set will finish the cars in the orange paint scheme, the two-tone green scheme and the original yellow & white scheme. As of the end of 2007, San Francisco had eleven cars, numbered 1807, 1811, 1814, 1815, 1818, 1834, 1856, 1859, 1888, 1893 and 1895 currently operating in each of the three schemes. Except for the training car, 1834, most can be seen in service on a daily basis. All cars are currently in the orange paint scheme used since 1970 except 1811, which is in the original 1928 yellow and white scheme and 1818 which is in the 1930-1970 two-tone green scheme.

The decal set includes black lettering for the orange and the yellow cars along with white lettering for the green cars and training car 1834. White and red 1/2" striping for the belt rails is also provided. The Milan herald is also provided in the correct 15" size but must be applied in four stages. Exterior markings such as Entrata, Uscita and Vietato Salire are provided. Destination signs, white on clear background, are also supplied along with black destination and route sign backgrounds sized to fit the Miniatures by Eric shell.
San Francisco Municipal Ry. PCC Cars (to 1982) - $8.95 [CN-1040]

This HO scale finishing set is mainly intended for models of pre-1982 PCC cars of the 1006-1015, 1016-1040 and 1101-1170 series and pre-PCC cars in the 1001-1005 series. The set includes destination signs that can be used on any San Francisco PCC car including post-1995 cars 1007, 1010, 1015 and the ex-Philadelphia 1050-1064 series. Black destination sign backgrounds prototypically sized to fit the Bowser PCC cars are provided. Numbers are provided in black, cream and yellow. SFMR round heralds are provided in both black and yellow in 8", 12", 18" and 24" diameters. The "wings" that were used on San Francisco PCC cars in the 1950s and early 1960s are available in Custom Traxx decals set CT-993B. Shown right is a Custom Traxx model of car 1024, finished with both CN-1040 and CT-993B.

Toronto Canadian Light Rail Vehicle (CLRV) - $34.95 [CN-4100]

This premier HO scale decal finishing set has been designed for shells of the Toronto Transportation Commission (TTC) Canadian Light Rail Vehicle (CLRV) produced by Miniatures by Eric. The set contains all original 1978 destination signs, and those added in 1995, 1996 and 2000, along with the details, numbers, striping and heralds used on the cars. This set contains front destination signs  in white on clear background; printed side destination signs; white numbers, heralds and striping; red striping for the lower sides and the letter board; black numbers and black/yellow DO NOT PASS signs; black numbers and front & rear red, blue and black destination sign backgrounds; red Stop signs along with Proof of Payment (POP) signs. It is recommended that the modeler first airbrush the interior of the shell weathered black and then the entire exterior of the model gloss white. Then airbrush the skirt area, gray and the window area gloss black prior to applying the decals. The roof mat can also be also simulated with weathered black.

Toronto PCC Cars - $12.95 [CN-4300]

This HO scale finishing set was designed for the 4300 class of post-war PCC cars operated in Toronto and imported by MTS Imports, Inc., but can be used for Bachmann, BEC, Bowser, Bachmann, Con-Cor and other PCC models. This set provides numbers in two styles and sizes along with both 'winged' and non-winged TTC heralds. Destination signs are provided for all Toronto Transportation Commission (TTC) PCC Cars. Destination signs are white lettering on clear background, so separate black backgrounds sized to fit the Bowser PCC car destination sign opening and side destination signs are also included. This set was upgraded in September 2005 with added destination signs and black striping for the belt rails and letter boards.

Virginia Brill Master Units - $9.95 [CN-111]

This HO scale decal set was designed for brass models of the 1929-1930 Master Units as imported by NWSL. It contains numbers, heralds and destination signs for the 20 Master Units originally assigned to Lynchburg, VA as 100-119. Ten of these cars were sent to Roanoke, VA, in 1937 where they were numbered 48 to 57. Later the remaining ten went to Norfolk, Virginia, where they were renumbered 200-209. The decal set supports the original and final Lynchburg, Roanoke (shown at right) and Norfolk paint schemes.

Washington D.C. Pre-PCC cars (Brill & Saint Louis Car Co) - $16.95 [CN-1051DC]

This HO scale decal set was designed for the 3D Printed models of these cars made by Volkmar Meier (Interurban Traction Models). Twenty cars were built in 1935 for Capital Transit (10 by J. G. Brill and 10 by St. Louis Car Co). Sideframes for the Capital 70 trucks designed to fit the Bowser mechanism are supplied. The models contain a floor designed for the Bowser traction mechanism and provision is provided for an overhead/two-rail switch under the floor, between the motor mounts.

Yakima Valley Master Units - $7.95 [CN-022]

This HO scale decal set was designed for brass models of the 1929-1930 Master Units as imported by NWSL. It contains numbers, heralds and destination signs for the three Master Units, 20-21-22, built for the Yakima Valley Transportation Co. in 1929-1930 by the American Car Co. The decal set supports both the original dark green paint scheme and the final gray, cream and green paint scheme shown at right. These three cars ran until 1947 when they were transferred to Portland where they ran another 10 years. As of 2004, two of the three cars were in Yakima undergoing restoration.
